After today, I’m taking the rest of the week off. There is much to do…
- morels should be appearing in Southern Ontario about now and I’d like to pick me some
- I haven’t been fly fishing yet this year, and I’d love to reaquaint myself with my favourite rivers
- basement cleanup (can’t stall much longer)
- garden work (lots more to do, and I hear Plant World is having a sale tomorrow)
- some mechanical work on my car (appointment for Wednesday morning)
- busking
- start some new paintings
- work on the great Canadian novel
- practice the chromatic accordion (not my usual box, but I’m learning the fingering slowly but surely)
- goof around with the dogs
- finish reading Solomon Gursky was Here
- +++ various other jobs I haven’t got around to yet
What’s on your to-do list?
I’m embarrassed to say that it is the first time I’m reading any Richler. I was reading my way through Charles Portis’ novels, and was about to read another one when a little voice said, hey bud, stop reading about the American South for a few minutes and look closer to home. So, here we are.
Is that the first time you’ve read Solomon Gursky? I’m planning on rereading Barney’s Version again soon.
My to-do list includes making more lists. I am suddenly very busy with new work and other stuff and the days are just running away on me.
But I want to put in a herb garden upstairs, get the terraza ready for summer (including purchase of BBQ). Also need to organise summer clothes and lose 30 kilos.
