I was driving past the old glass factory on Kipling Ave the other day, wondering what is to become of the site, since the plant closed last year sometime. I found out with the help of a little googling that Cinespace Film Studios has bought the property. Perhaps we’ll have a film industry happening soon here in the former South Etobicoke!

It does sound positive for the area. I’m waiting to see what happens to the now closed Arvin Meritor property on the Lake Shore.
That’s quite exciting! I would love to see that place when it gets rolling.
p.s. I am late to your post last week…but I did compile a “best of westerns” list. Of course The Searchers was number 1!
🙂
Wow, I wonder if this will really materialize. it’s ddifficult to imagine any film company being able to afford to open a new studio. A couple film places fell apart in warehouse situations like this over the past few years in Toronto. I hope that they can make a go of it.
Me too.
