I motored home from mushroom hunting, arriving just in time to watch the World Cup final. It worked out perfectly. The game put into dreamland within the first 15 minutes. I awoke later on in the game, just in time to wipe the sleep from my eyes and watch the goal. Was that the only shot taken all game?

I’m glad that the game wasn’t a blowout on either side – it made it far more exciting. Thank god it didn’t end up in penalty shots – I hate for games to end that way. This year’s tournament was very enjoyable. Even with the occasional bad/controversial call by the referees and the everpresent diving, it was great that there were so many surprises. Next up…Eurocup 2012!
