What’s that all about? Maybe its someone with a peculiar women mushroom picker fetish, looking for women mushroom picker porn? I’m open for alternate explanations for this one. I never thought of mushroom picking as being an activity that either men or women gravitate to specifically. When I think about the mushroom identification class I took, there was a healthy mix of men and women. The course attracted people with a general interest as well as some academics and some others who wanted to identify tasty edibles.

i can think of lots of associations and specific things about the search term. Yes, of course mushroom picking is a gender-free activity…in theory. so this must be something else…a cultural or political association.
I immediately would think of Shakespeare with this one…of “salad days” which he used to describe cleo’s youth now past. BUT…the idea was invented by ol Willie…in folk stories and beliefs a young woman was picking salad because he hands were soft and gentle and she wouldn’t bruise the tender plant.
Mushroom picking is a low-level manual job…I once had a horrible job planting daffodils on vancouver island and it was all women. why? Because women will take low pay just desperate to get work. So women will often be working at mushroom facilities. Add…the idea of cultural stereotypes of women having the gentle hands…not harming or bruising the meats of mushrooms a little like our stereotype and mythology of young virgin girls picking the lettuce…
Mushrooms have ancient powerful tales associated deep in our subconsciousness and various cultures with magic, fairies, gnomes, darkness, wet, primordial and secret…magic and darkenss is often “womans work” such as witchcraft.
