I like McCloud. Those Quinn Martin productions like Cannon and Mannix were pretty much interchangeable. Part I Part II Part III Part IV Epilogue. But then, a lot of tv remains just as formulaic. Look at the Law and Order shows for instance. They’re also enjoyable for having the worst acting, especially SVU.
One of the local cable channels has been showing Kojak reruns. I never liked the series, but now it has documentary value as to what NYC looked like in the Seventies.
We watched them all, Baretta we liked the least. Kojak and Columbo we made sure we watched without fail.
My favorite line from an episode of Cannon came where a woman was nervously pointing a gun at him telling him “Don’t move!”
He moved anyway and she said again: “Don’t move!”
Cannon replied: “As you can see, I am an impossible target to miss…”

My Dad watched Mannix just to see him ruin a new suit in a car crash or fight every week.
You are in interesting company, despite being way too young to hang out with those gentlemen.

We saw some Kojak reruns recently too. It leaves me wanting to say, “Who loves ya baby?”
