I came across this beautifully played corridinho today on YouTube. The player is Raul Godinho. I think he plays beautifully! A corridinho is a Portuguese dance form, common to the Algarve. It’s typically played quite fast in 4/4 time. Some of the corridinhos are quite simple, complicated only by speed and variations. These are usually played on the triple row diatonic button accordion, known to Portugese players as the concertina. Others are significantly more complex, and require a fully chromatic instrument.
