I take the dogs out at about 6:00 every day to play with their buddies. Today,I had to call my boss about something that happened earlier in the day and I was doing that on my work phone while walking the dogs. We rounded the corner and just before the next block there was S with Memphis’ best pal Annie. Well, the dogs greeted one another and it was a little chaotic, in part because I was trying to take care of work business at the same time.
S and her dog were both facing me and my dogs and I glanced down the street and all of a sudden, there was a coyote running towards us. He turned quickly onto the north-south street and meanwhile I’m still trying to take care of this work call. I said to my boss, just a second, I just saw a coyote, and S ran over to the corner to get a look, but it was gone without a trace. I saw this thing for maybe two seconds before it turned up the street and disappeared.
Now it may be true that I need a vacation, but I’m pretty certain I saw a coyote in broad daylight at the corner of Lake Promenade and 25th St. just an hour ago.
