Little Brown Jug

Songs about drinking are by no means a new phenomenon. Drinking song #31 goes way back to the 1860s. Here’s a stylish version by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra from the 40s. Little Brown Jug

    I was brought up listening to Glenn Miller courtesy of my Great Aunt Jane.

    I love Glenn Miller with a passion – which rather confuses the wifey as I put on a few Miller tunes after The Pistols and Bowie and The Stranglers and Green Day and Madness and Altered Images and T.Rex and The Buzzcocks and The Specials and…even…Squeeze Box Dogs!!!
