The shape is great. Did you pull up the grass, and amend the soil, or build the soil up on top of a fabric or something? I can tell that it’s going to be just beautiful.
I laid wet newspapers down on the grass then covered the newspapers with enough soil to support plants for this season. The newspapers will kill the grass and if my experience with the garden I did last year in the back is a good indicator, by next season, it will be one big happy garden.
I wish I could say we hauled the rock home in the trunk of the Corolla, but in fact I went to the local rock yard to pick them out and they delivered them. They weigh about 600 lbs each for the big ones.

Your yard looks so inviting! Those are pretty incredible rocks. Did you haul them there yourselves?
