What’s in a name?

This morning, I had the dogs out at the local leash-free dog park. Some us of were talking about naming the park. I don’t mean some city-generated name after a politician. I mean a community name, something we come up with. If there are some Longbranch dog owners out there, tell me what you think. Let’s start socializing some name choices. Maybe we can all agree on one. Then it’s just a matter of re-allocating some resources from the garbage bin and fashioning a fancy home-made sign. I’d like to see the community start making more volunteer improvements to the park. Maybe the City will get in the spirit of it and ante up some real resources. We could form a volunteer group and turn our mediocre park situation into a better one. I had hoped The City would try to achieve that, but it’s almost June and nothing has happened yet….

I support your efforts but as the owner of two huskies; they will never be leash free (unless they manage to escape as our white guy did twice this winter!!)

Finney’s Folley has a nice ring to it but then so does Grimes Gulch.

Dogs on a leash have no fun at all. There is a sign at our beach that dogs should be on a leash but no-one takes any notice!
The dogs run in the water and have a wonderful time!
