is that an old dirt road I see in the picture with the girls? I love those kinds of roads..paths really. I try to imagine who made them and where were they going.
It is an old dirt road indeed. Our maps show this as a tract of regional forest (translate: public land), but it looks as if the municipality has been selling off chunks of it because there are now some keep out signs along parts of this road.
There is another even smaller road that joins this one, and sadly,people have dumped junk off the side of this road. It looks as if this happened a long time ago and the forest is trying to reclaim the junk heap.

What a beautiful spot. It’s so fresh and green and I can imagine it’s a perfect haven on stinking hot humid day.

I’ve been meaning to ask, how are the old girl’s joints? Does she have arthritis like most other large dogs?
Hard to assess that…she doesn’t limp, but her normal pace is slow. She runs from time to time, which is quite a site considering how bulky she is.
