Hurdy-Gurdy! That’s what it’s called? I saw someone playing one last year at the Bellingham market and made a little video because the music was fantastic and I had no idea what he was playing. I thought it was an instrument he had made or something because I had never seen anything like it.
I didn’t even know that the hurdy-gurdy was an actual instrument. I also thought it was a made-up word. Definitely out of the main stream.
…..but you have to admit an instrument that involves a crank, a drone and wooden pegs is pretty cool…
