In the latest episode of The Agency Podcast, Where’s the Money, we talked about a newsletter/website called Reasons to be Cheerful, the brainchild of David Byrne. Yes, that David Byrne, the guy from Talking Heads, and writer of the fantastic book How Music Works, among other things. It is no coincidence that Reasons to be Cheerful Part 3 is also a song from 1979 by Ian Dury and the Blockheads.

Reasons to be Cheerful is a non-profit editorial project that is tonic for tumultuous times. You can sign up to have it delivered to your inbox or you can grab the articles on the website. I love this project. The positive focus is great and the articles I’ve read so far are all very thoughtful.

Of course everything is on YouTube, so I searched up Reasons to be Cheerful there and found Mr. Byrne talking about this project.

I’m confident I’ll be going back to Reasons to be Cheerful on a regular basis.
