Stormwater Study Completed
I just read at the Friends of Sam Smith Park blog that the Etobicoke Waterfront Stormwater Management study has been completed. I don’t know all the issues here yet, but the blog post is very critical of the study for ignoring community feedback.

Shishigashira
After most of the leaves in our area have fallen, our Shishigashira Japanese Maple, with its deep green leaves finally and quickly explodes into the most fantastic yellow-orange. I love this tree.

No this isn’t some new furniture from IKEA ready for assembly. These two grey units are sitting out behind the filtration plant down the street, waiting for installation.
What could this be…?
This item has been sitting around down behind the filtration plant for several weeks. It looks like it is some sort of underwater observation chamber, at least in my imagination.
