When it rains it freezes…

For the Toronto Transit Commission, it seems when it rains it freezes. After the transit union took a very positive step, organizing a series of town-halls, and apologizing profusely for poor customer service, another serious incident has taken place. All the news outlets have reported that a TTC bus driver allegedly became involved in a dispute over student fare with a teen customer. The driver has been charged with assault. It seems the fare dispute was not settled in the best way for all concerned.

The teen apparently failed to produce a student card and the driver was not satisfied that the customer was indeed a student. After the alleged assault, none of that matters. From the Toronto Sun: …victim Ricardo Jardim was en route to hospital Wednesday night after seeing a personal injury lawyer.

Unfortunately for the transit union, at the next town hall, their apologies may be drowned out by the noise over this latest incident.

Have your say...
