We planted our Shishigashira or Lion’s Head Japanese Maple the year we moved in to our house. It’s a slow-growing variety with distinctive deeply cut deep green leaves that stay that way well into the fall. In our area, most trees are well past their peak colour while our Shishigashira is showing off.
That IS a very showy tree! Our Mountain Ash always holds its leaves well into winter as well.
Wow…spectacular beyond words..Imagine the power of that in ten…or twenty years
