Dawn Redwoods were thought to be extinct until specimens were found in China in the late 1940s. The ones in High Park were apparently gifts from the Chinese government.
Almost every time I visit High Park, I see at least one Red-tailed hawk. Today I either saw two different ones or the same one a couple times.
These ducks are just crazy-beautiful, aren’t they?
Witch Hazel is among my fave plants. It’s started blooming in High Park, and will keep blooming right to the end of the year!
