It’s here…

The good folks at Canada Post delivered me a package today – my banjo neck is here! You can see how perfectly it’s going to fit on the can. Just right. I don’t think I’ll be able to start working on it until the weekend. I have to form a kitchen fork into a tailpiece, and decide how I’m going to joint the neck through the can to the tail, and figure out a bridge and pick up some strings….

    • Good question Barbara. The guy whose building method I’m following doesn’t cut a sound hole and his canjos sound pretty good. In one of his videos, he says that on some of them, the sound is improved if you unscrew the cap and take it off but on others it makes no difference.

Yer biggest problem will be getting your hand and arm in through that little opening with a screwdriver. I guess if you really get stuck there is always Mighty fine looking setup though and there is even room on the headstock for an Anchovy logo. Cant wait to hear it when it is finished.

Note to TuffyP: Hide the good silverware
