I love shrimp. At one time they were one of my favorite foods but I dont eat them anymore because I dont think they are safe to eat. You can research this on your own, but here are a couple of articles that might cause you some concern:

They are mighty tasty though.
We eat shrimp maybe half a dozen times each year. Neither of us have had a problem.
