Last week, when Stagg was in town from Chicago, we started this mad garden project. It began with an armature built around the stand for a coat rack, with wood and strapping and hardware cloth. On that we built up cement, and then finally, acrylic paint.
I have little experience doing this kind of work, but I’m happy with the result we achieved.

The hair is a hoot. Fountain grass?
I don’t know what the grass is called. I moved it from another part of the garden.
I have some fountain grass that a client brought me without warning me that it freaking TAKES OVER and I’ve resigned myself to my fate. Looks about like that, grows in a big spray.
Yep, I think it’s the same plant. Grows like crazy and bullies its neighbours. Happy to have it contained in a giant head.
