Ahhhh

I haven’t been posting nearly enough button accordion music around this joint lately, so here’s a fave video from the YouTube machine I posted once before on this blog….the performance is so good it deserves another feature…..

«Reel St-Renard» interprété par Éric Gagné

I love the way he puts his whole body into it.

Now here’s Remi Landry squeezing out Big John McNil

and one more…here’s Roger Lanteigne playing triple-row

Down for the count…

I’ve been feeling more or less under the weather for the last week or so, something I’ve been more or less ignoring, but this morning when I woke up I was down for the count. Headache, sore throat, ear infection, nose running like a tap, 0 energy.

I slept much of the day and that seems to have helped at least some. I still have low energy and a runny nose that won’t stop, but my ears and throat feel much better and the headache is gone. Hoping I’m more or less human again in the morning.

We’ve created a monster….

Georgie was scared to climb the stairs leading to the Great Room above the garage. This is the room where we chill, watch tv, work on mosaics, nap on the sofa and so on. It wasn’t a bad thing that he was scared to go up those stairs. He was fine on the ground floor.

I messed it up. I encouraged him to overcome his fear. He did. He went up and down the stairs several times after his first ascent, just to show that he could. He’s been totally excited all evening at this accomplishment. The cats are not amused that their special puppy-free sanctuary has been breached….

Goat’s Song at Yumart

We spent the afternoon at the opening reception of Goat’s Song, a group exhibition at Yumart. A number of old friends came out and it was really great chat with them at the gallery.

Here’s Behzad with one of my paintings in the show, called The Source.
